![]() Capture The Flag, (Team) Deathmatch, Domination. Sounds easy? You'll find yourself fighting with both the enemies and the game's physics as you can't get to push the other players out of the map, while the short spaces for maneuvering of the map will allow other players to push YOU instead. multiplayer as well as single player (with bots) wide range of weapons (over 15) several game modes (i.a. The weapon itself is the game's weak Emergency Weapon, whose only claim to fame is the ability to do weaponjumping with little damage and higher push (this also counts towards enemies). Better pick up everything you can before seizing the ball. And if that isn't enough, the gamemode has a weird scoring system, you can be either the owner of the ball with the highest time or the highest fragger with it, and you can still lose. ![]() And when you have the ball? You become the number one target for everyone. While the HUD may help you spot the ball carrier, and the level's structure isn't really complicated, there's the matter of the other players fragging you even when you don't have the ball, just to troll you. Keepaway is about picking up a ball and fragging with it, as you don't get to score points without it. Level 14 (0.8.2): Keepaway: Running Man.Decided to entertain some gaming after many years without touching a single title. I'm running the game on Manjaro KDE (DE compositor is off and game is not installed). However, there are still traces of the game on your PC. Is the hardware just too weak? Judging by Xonotic's system requirements, I would like to think my system is at least good enough to run the game without significant hiccups in very low settings. But no matter how low I set the graphics, there are always some random fps drops, stutterings or extreme lag. Lowering/disabling some dynamic lights, shadows, reflections, blur effects and other post-processing stuff helps raise the average fps, but does nothing for the stuttering or lag, even at the lowest resolution. ![]() I'm not sure if the hardware is just not good enough or if something is not well configured or if I'm encountering some kind of bug. This is happening on almost all singleplayer levels, but most severely on the 18th (Oilrig). This map is literally unplayable and I don't understand why because it's not even the most complex map so far. I'm stuck at this level and can't progress. Has anyone tried running the game on identical hardware? How was your experience? Any useful tweaks that might help? Hardware acceleration is enabled on my system, and I've made sure there is no power saving policy getting in the way. However, I have noticed that the game never uses more than 25% of my CPU times, even if I disable the in-game feature to save CPU time for other apps and set the CPU frequency scaling to the "performance" governor in command line.
